Meet Michael Hornby

Michael Hornby is the Founder and CEO of Techmentum, a managed IT and cybersecurity firm serving businesses across the United States. Since founding the company in 2007, he has helped organizations strengthen security, reduce risk, and make smarter technology decisions that support long-term growth.

A graduate of Rutgers University with degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Michael brings more than 20 years of experience spanning software development, IT support, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and business technology strategy. His career began long before Techmentum, working across technical roles that provided firsthand insight into the challenges businesses face as technology evolves.

Today, Michael works closely with business leaders across multiple industries, helping them navigate cybersecurity threats, cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, business continuity planning, and the operational risks associated with modern technology environments. His practical, business-focused approach has helped more than 200 organizations improve reliability, security, and overall technology performance.
